Best Movie Sequels

Best Movie Sequels We Actually Want To See

First of all lets put all that crap talk of how a sequel would only ruin the original. Just shut up. The average Best Movie Sequels goer loves sequels and sure they are rarely better than the original but that doesn’t mean they cant be fun. With that being said here are some of the sequels I would love to see.

Top Gun 2

Not to sound horrible but it is getting annoying how Tom Cruise is still a box office star. Sure Knight and Day didn’t light it up but just watch MI:4 make damn good money. Don’t Get me wrong, I think Tom may be one of the greatest movie stars off all time but only when his career starts to tank will he consider making Top Gun 2. We all want this Best Movie Sequels to be made, it needs to be made and hell, there hasn’t been a good fighter pilot movie since the original. I don’t care what the plot is, perhaps I could do with less sweaty shirtless men playing volleyball second time around but we have to get the ladies excited as well.

Anchor Man 2

I have no idea why this hasn’t been made. The huge following of this movie would make a sequel box office gold. Add in the fact that all the original cast are willing to come back and this makes the situation even more irritating. The fact is that the studio execs have passed on this movie so many times that I really am thinking that this Best Movie Sequels will never be made. Oh, in case you were wondering, the plot of the sequel was never really revealed but it was going to be a could have been.

Star Wars Prequels or Sequels

People are always wanting Episodes 7,8 and 9 but if you read into the “history” of Star Wars, what happened before Episode 1 is where all the good stuff lies. Anyway, George Lucas has made it very clear that he never plans on making any more movies (there is a live action TV show planned) but wait, do we need Lucas to continue? Of course not. We already have all his ideas and as Empire and Jedi showed us we don’t need him to direct or write the movies so come see some more Star Wars.

True Lies 2

Arnold (not Tom Arnold) is back making movies, so that means this movie is now possible. The first one was just plain awesome and if the sequel master himself, James Cameron, decides to make this one I will be one of the first lining up to see it. Sure Harry would be getting a little old in this one but that just sets up everyone’s favorite line “I’m getting too old for this shit”.

Master and Commander 2

You will see this soon on my list of movies you should see, because it was damn good and way too many people missed it. It was nominated for Best Picture, did well at the box office and there are sequels to the original book, so there is not shortage of materials. The plan was to make a few of these personal best movie but I guess it was not as successful as some may have hoped. Come on, take a chance and make a second one, Russell Crowe needs to be grounded after his return from Krypton (he is currently filming the next superman movie so I wanted everyone to get my witty comment).

Napoleon Dynamite 2

I know it could never live up to the first one, but damn it, I want them to try. If I would green light this movie in a heartbeat as it would be so easy to make money with this movie. The director and cast would all have to return to make a good go of it but I will not get my hopes up as Mr Hess has said there will never be a sequel. I guess I will continue to dream.…

Personal Best Movie

Process to Select The Personal Best Movie

The entertainment industry is booming with Personal Best Movie, TV shows, and so on. Each category has the good and the bad. Who is the deciding factor as to which is the best movie and why? One of the ratings in vogue is the Internet Movie Database which has a listing of all the movies made during the past century. The list is long and it is further categorized based on the genre. One more categorization is made based on the decade so you can know the age it was made.
The actual process of deciding whether a movie is good or bad is very complex and no one person or group can decide if it is really good or bad. One person’s taste will differ from another so the movie found good by one may not be so for another.

The Oscars is The Most Prestigious Award

The Oscars is the most prestigious award that a Personal Best Movie can get for its making and every movie maker will want to get one for his or her movie. Getting nominated for an Oscar is itself a prestige leave alone getting one. The movie that gets this highest award for the year can be rated the best for the year.
The public is the best decider of the good and the bad. Many a movie that does not earn an Oscar may do well at the box office and may be appreciated by the masses more than the one that lucky enough to catch hold of the most esteemed award in the world today.
It is the people who watch and enjoy the Personal Best Movie hence a commoner who gains a little entertainment for a few hours and really enjoys what is offered is the best judge for even after a lot of expense of time and money the common man does not get his money’s worth will he rate the over the top movie good? No never. Therefore a movie that can be decided the best is the one that is well appreciated by the commonest of the subjects from the young to the old and which gives a wholesome entertainment at any time to anyone who seeks it.…

Best Movie Speeches

What Makes Best Movie Speeches Good

What makes Best Movie Speeches Good? Is it what is said? Is it how it is said? Or maybe it is the situation surrounding the moment of the speech.
We all love a good movie speech. It can touch our heart and make us cry, or it can give us chills all over our body. It can be sad or inspirational and it can create a very important moment for the character giving the speech. A good monologue can make or break a movie.

Feel of The Movie

Take something like Sam’s speech to Frodo in The Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers. That movie is a very dark movie and the feel of the movie is very grim. Towards the end of the film good begins to triumph over evil and that is when Sam gives his speech at the window. His Best Movie Speeches changes the whole tone of the film in a moment and it gives you hope for the final film where they will take the ring into Mordor.
Not only that, but the speech also sets up Sam’s character. In the third film Sam must be the one to take Frodo into Mordor to destroy the ring, and up until now you don’t know whether or not Sam has the strength to do it. This speech shows Sam’s strength and gives you full faith in his character.
Timing is very important for a speech. If it is presented at the wrong time in a film it can have a negative effect instead of a positive effect.
Mood of the film is also very important. A great Best Movie Speeches is usually given at a very important moment in the film. For example that famous speech in Braveheart “They can take our lives, but they can never take our freedom” is given on the edge of battle where it looks like there is no hope. The mood makes the speech stand out and it encourages you for victory in the battle.
Background music can also have a huge effect on making a good speech great. If a personal best movie has music that compliments the mood of the talk then it is all the more better. Music sometimes can be even more important than what is being said.
Most importantly it is not what is said (though that is important) it is how it is said. A good speech will never be great if it is said with no enthusiasm or if it is presented in monotone. It needs emotion and it needs to be interesting. Pauses in the right places, emphasis on important points all go towards making it great.
There is a lot that makes up a good movie speech.…

Best Movie Theater Near Me

One of the Best Movie Theater Near Me

The Utah Shakespeare Festival has vaulted the small southern Utah city of Cedar City onto the contemporary map. Held each summer at Southern Utah University, the festival now ranks as one of the top four Shakespearean festivals Best Movie Theater Near Me in the country.
Founded in 1962 by Fred C. Adams, it started with a $1,000 budget. Attendance was 3,276. Today, that budget exceeds $2.8 million. And attendance exceeds 125,000.

The Utah Shakespeare Festival

The Utah Shakespeare Festival has been acclaimed by critics around the world as one of the best Shakespearean festivals in the world. And it has something few other such festivals have. A theater which emulates… because it was designed from original drawings… the 16th century Tudor stages.
In fact, it comes real close to duplicating the original Globe Theater where Shakespeare presented his plays. So close… in fact… that the BBC used it to film their Shakespeare series after a worldwide search. The Adams Shakespearean Theater sits on the beautiful green grounds of Southern Utah University.
The one time we attended this Best Movie Theater Near Me event, we were enthralled by roaming allen theaters… Green Shows. Elizabethan dance and music. Punch and Judy shows. A raptor demonstration… hawks and golden eagles. And… of course… wonderful summer evening temperatures.
In fact, memories of that visit… and doing some of the research for this page… prompted us to plan another trip to the festival this summer… in 2011.
The festival won a Tony Award in 2000 for America’s Outstanding Regional Best Movie Theater Near Me. The festival’s newest theater… the Randall L. Jones Theater… was featured in Architecture magazine in 1990. A beautiful building. It is used throughout the year for plays and musicals.
The festival performs three or four Shakespeare plays throughout the summer. But they also present two other plays… usually contemporary works. You can also sit in on literary and production seminars which discuss the previous day’s plays.
Cedar City is in southern Utah. Things to see nearby include:

Zion National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park

Cedar Breaks National Monument

St. George

Lake Powell

The Pine Valley Mountains

The city of St. George is about 1/2 hour south on I-15. The St. George area is a “haven for outdoor buffs and retirees.” Travel and Golf Leisure magazine named St. George an emerging leisure mecca.
The Utah Shakespeare Festival runs from late June… the 23rd in 2011… through the middle of October. Tickets run from $22 to $71. As they say on their site, “Let’s Play! What is life without a little play?”…

Best Movie Scores

Vantage Point Best Movie Scores

Before you go on, here’s a warning: If you hate Media Ventures (Remote Control Productions), Hans Zimmer or Steve Jablonsky, look away now. If you however think that they produce great action scores, and are not ashamed to admit that, read on. Atli Orvarsson might not be a name most people are not familiar with. I won’t hold it against you as I could not even find a Wikipedia page about this guy. What I do know is that he is from Iceland, and that in itself is quite a feat. Hans Zimmer said in an interview not long ago that if you are not from USA, you can forget scoring for the Best Movie Scores, but that’s a positive side to Zimmer’s production company, it gives people like Atli Orvarsson a chance. He has previously scored for TV series such as NYPD Blue, Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Dragnet and has worked closely with TV composing legend Mike Post. He has also collaborated with Hans Zimmer on The Holiday and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Just to make it clear, he is working with Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions.

Total Movie Scores

The total playtime on this Best Movie Scores is 41:20, which is pretty much the norm, a little on the short side perhaps. This is my first Atli Orvarsson score, and I have to say I am impressed. I can understand the criticism of Media Ventures, because a lot of the music who went to that “school” has a tendency to sound the same. It’s a fair criticism, but they do produce great action scores and this is no exception. From the moment you listen to it you get the feeling that this is a really well produced score from start to finish.
The main theme of Vantage is a nice one, and you immediately know what kind of score this is. You can hear a little Zimmer and Jablonsky in it, but also quite a bit of originality from Atli Orvarsson. The theme for this score has a nice action feel to it and the use of guitar is a great touch in between the electronic percussion and the strings. It then ventures a little bit into middle east, but keeps the score rooted in the action genre.
Like I said, it is a very well produced action Best Movie Scores. The negative about this personal best movie score is that you might have heard this a few times before. There is enough originality in there to keep you interested though, and I would argue that if you really know your music, you can hear originality in all Remote Control Productions scores. Vantage Point is certainly is a big step up from John Powell’s score to Jumper which I reviewed on Monday. Bottom line: I like it! Can’t wait for Atli Orvarsson next project which is Babylon A.D.…

Chill Out On The Money and Greed Monologue – Best Movie Monologues

Some people will tell you that Best Movie Monologues”money is the root of all evil” – still, I beg to differ and let me explain why and ask a question; are these people who are using that trendy the old quote really one with their intellectual prowess? No and I would submit to you that there was evil far before the invention or advent of money. Now then, it’s hard to define what evil is, so it may be hard for you to comprehend the concept I’m speaking of.

Define what Money is Money

Luckily however, it’s not hard to define what money is; money is a unit of trade. The other day I tried to come up with a cool little quote to explain this to an acquaintance of mine; trying to sum it all up in a short sentence. Here’s what I came up with Best Movie Monologues;
“Money is a unit of trade. So, you can buy a hammer I made, rather than cutting off the tail of your cow in trade” – Lance Winslow Nov. 2011.
People should respect money because it represents hard work, or value. If they stole it or it came too easy such as being given to them, often, they don’t. When money no longer represents hard work, or is given out freely for people who don’t work, or attain it without a value benefit in trade, it becomes meaningless and worthless, and therefore, is not respected; easy come easy go.
One thing that bothers me about folks that are Best Movie Monologues “Occupying the Park” and claiming the 1% are greedy, and they should share their money – is that if they really believe that, and they really believe that money should be respected, then they should go and earn it themselves. They should not ask others to give them their hard-earned money. If they are upset that some people got money without earning it, yes I can appreciate their comments.
However it is hypocritical to want someone who has money to give it to you who perhaps doesn’t have it, without you actually earning it. In that case you’ve done just what they have, perhaps stolen it or cheated your way into a position where you were in the flow and you took some, only to a lesser degree. That puts you in the exact same boat as those that you complain about – see that point?
Perhaps, this is why I wish everyone would just chill out on the money and Greed monologues, and consider; what the concept of money is, and a philosophical definition which will ensure that its value remains fair for those that use the system personal best movie. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it…

Best Movie Theaters in NYC

Should We Bring Our Own Food Into Best Movie Theaters in NYC?

Is it okay to sneak food into movie theaters? Have Best Movie Theaters in NYC always sold concessions? If not, when did they start? We will try to answer these questions in this article.
The early theaters did not want people to be eating snacks in their buildings because they felt it would detract from the elegant setting they were trying to create. They had lavish curtains, carpeting and upholstery and did not want anything like sticky candy to get on their furnishings. During the Great Depression, theaters started selling concessions to supplement their income. After World War II when people started staying home more to watch television, which had just been invented, concessions became an even more important part of theaters. Today, concession income is the number one revenue stream for theaters. They have to share the movie ticket revenue with distributors and the movie studios.

The Rules in the Theaters

You may have seen signs in Best Movie Theaters in NYC saying you cannot bring outside food in. From some comments I saw on the CHOW website, lots of people bring in their own food anyway. One reason they do it is because they think the concession prices are way too high. Others do it because the allen theaters do not sell what they like to snack on. Some folks buy something at the concession stand but also bring other food to snack on. Some Best Movie Theaters in NYC do not mind that people bring in their own food as long as they don’t leave a mess and as long as it does not bother other customers. I have not brought in my own food as I think that would be like bringing my own coffee into a Starbucks. It just doesn’t quite seem ethical. I do not like paying the high prices but I do not go to that many movies. Unless it is a really good movie, I can wait for the DVD and watch it at home with my own snacks like a bowl of popcorn and a soda.…
